How to Hire a Town Crier

 

If you know there is a local crier, then contact the local Town Hall—Town Clerk, Mayor or Chief Executive. Otherwise please contact the Guild Secretary, who should be able to put you in touch with a crier in the required vicinity.

What does a crier charge?

 

It is very much up to the individual crier—an average cost would be in the region of £150 to £200 per day plus expenses.

 

For a charitable event it is usual only to charge reasonable expenses—the offer of any more would be at the discretion of the organiser.
